Interesting project. Aiden is a great teacher (and has even GR8R students!). Aiden YM'd me and asked "Do you think it's sexist? Can you post a one-liner comment about what you think of the commercial?" First, I don't think it's sexist because you could just as easily use males in the roles. For an amateur production, it is quite amusing. If it were a real advertisement I would think it's overdone, but as a class project, it's humorous and the students obviously worked hard on it and had fun with it.
I agree with Vance's view that the commercial wasn't sexist at all. I'm not even sure how it could be interpreted as sexist, unless it's a stereotypical view of women that they are more concerned about BO. But, an ad agency, presumably, does consumer research before their campaign and makes sure that the target of their appeal is the appropriate group. I could imagine a charge of sexism if the woman who "won" the race had knocked out all the male spectators in the stadium with her rich aroma. Anyway, I thought it was a well made ad and laughed when I saw it.
